Land Art Live: Melanie Bonajo - Matrix Botanica, Biosphere Above Nations (2013)

By invitation of Land Art Live, Melanie Bonajo developed an artist intervention for The Green Cathedral by Marinus Boezem, one of the seven major Land Art works in Flevoland. Her performance Matrix Botanica was an ode to nature: a concert for trees and animals. A steelband, singer, flute player, narrator and a horseback rider came together with the band ZaZaZoZo (Melanie Bonajo & Joseph Marzolla) for a summer procession. Her performance was a proposition for a new ritual, a celebration of the connection between man and nature.

The concert took place at The Green Cathedral by Marinus Boezem in Almere on Sunday August 25 2013, 20:00 - 21:00 hrs.

The evening resulted in the film Matrix Botanica: Biosphere Above Nations, which has been exhibited at Art Rotterdam and the ISCP in New York.
