Land Art Weekend 2020
During the annual Land Art Weekend, we put the spotlight on the nine land art monuments of Flevoland. For the 2020 edition you can experience the land art through your ears. In the weekend of June 6 and 7, art journalist Luuk Heezen will present ten listening programs. One broadcast per landscape artwork, plus one about the entire art collection. This way you can enjoy Flevoland's land art all weekend indoors as well as outdoors, at home or on the spot.
Martine van Kampen, curator of Land Art Flevoland: “By making the entire program listenable this year, the emphasis shifts from getting together to the individual experience. This way everyone can experience the land art from an appropriate distance.”
During the Land Art Luisterweekend Luuk Heezen will look for the most beautiful stories about the landscape artworks. From De Verbeelding in Zeewolde, he interviews, among others, a wedding official about the ceremonies that take place in De Groene Kathedraal (the Green Cathedral); a forester about nature and the maintenance of the landscape artwork Aardzee (Earthsea); and a historian who shares a passion for the Noordoostpolder with the creator of PIER+HORIZON.

Last year she organised the 'Buitenmis' in De Groene Kathedraal during the Land Art Weekend 2019 - this year you can listen to her music choices at all nine locations. The listening weekend is also an excellent time to experience the Engelenzender by Moniek Toebosch on the Houtribdijk. Drive in your own car over the dike and hear the angels sing through the app. Land Art Flevoland hopes to add this special sound artwork to the collection soon.

Onze tips voor eten en drinken onderweg

NB. Check voor de zekerheid de openingstijden en vergeet niet om indien nodig een plekje te reserveren!
Bij deze lokale horeca-ondernemers kan je tijdens je land art-route even pauzeren voor een hapje en een drankje. En als reserveren niet lukt kan je altijd terecht bij de Takeway van Hajé langs de A6, ook voor een lekkere meeneemkoffie.
- Bij Riff, PD#18245 - Beachclub NU (met uitzicht op het Veluwemeer)
- Bij Deltawerk// - Het Proeflab// (met uitzicht op het kunstwerk). Speciaal tijdens dit weekend staat de Land Art Arretjescake op de kaart!
- Vlakbij De Groene Kathedraal - Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan met meerdere opties, bijvoorbeeld het bezoekerscentrum van Staatsbosbeheer
- Vlakbij Exposure - De Cantine
- Bij PIER+HORIZON - buurvrouw Heidi Vereecken (Zuiderkrib) zet vaak koffie en lekkers neer bij de picknicktafel! Doe wel een duit in het zakje. Ook kun je naar verhalen van weleer luisteren naast de keet.
En verder: het bezoekerscentrum van de Oostvaardersplassen (tussen Exposure en Aardzee) en Hajé De Lepelaar (richting Lelystad) / De Aalscholver (richting Almere) aan beide zijden langs de A6 in het midden van de Flevopolder.
Over het Land Art Weekend
Jaarlijks worden de negen landschapskunstwerken van Flevoland in het zonnetje gezet tijdens het Land Art Weekend. Het Land Art Weekend is het 'open huis' van de landschapskunst. De hele kunstcollectie, die van Flevoland als het ware een groot openluchtmuseum maakt, wordt gevierd en geactiveerd. Er staan doorgaans gidsen klaar en er worden activiteiten georganiseerd als performances, voorstellingen en lezingen. Hoewel er dit jaar wel informatie op locatie aanwezig is, zijn er tijdens de editie van 2020 geen activiteiten op locatie om te bezoeken. In plaats daarvan kun je nu luisteren naar de land art.
Door de maatregelen van de overheid om het coronavirus te controleren, hebben we er dit jaar voor gekozen om het weekend beluisterbaar te maken. Hiermee verschuift de nadruk van samenkomen naar individuele beleving en kan iedereen de kunst van gepaste afstand via de oren ervaren.
De land art is 24/7 en ook op de andere 364 dagen van dit schrikkeljaar openbaar toegankelijk. Voor iedereen die na het weekend gaat toeren zijn highlights van de live-uitzendingen naderhand als podcast beschikbaar.
