Programma Land Art Live

The seven major Land Art works in Flevoland are of course artworks first, but they are also places that have come to play a role in the lives of the people who live around them. They are social spaces, where people walk their dogs, have a picnic or gather to make music, celebrate weddings or festivals.

This side of Land Art is the subject of study in the Land Art Live program. Seven contemporary artists were invited to create interventions at each of the seven Land Art sites. They relate to this social aspect, and also connect to the original meaning of the work. The Land Art Live program intends to put Flevoland’s Land Art in a new light, for a wide audience.
